POSITION SUMMARY Our Manager of Emergency Preparedness role is
essential for ensuring comprehensive disaster preparedness and
response within Children's Health. By focusing on compliance with
all phases of emergency management and maintaining strong
coordination with various agencies, this role plays a key part in
the organization's ability to handle emergency situations
effectively across all its locations. The partnership with the
Senior Director to develop business continuity plans further
ensures system-wide resilience. REQUIREMENTS
- Accountable for ensuring that the Disaster Preparedness Program
remain in compliance with all standards established by The Joint
Commission (TJC) for Emergency Management. Ability to communicate
to surveyors about the program and demonstrate how the program
meets all regulatory requirements.
- In partnership with the Sr. Director, direct reports, and
system wide departments to develop an effective Disaster
Preparedness Program and serves as the key leader in directing the
planning and coordination of operations. Works with Sr. Director
and key stakeholders to ensure appropriate activation of a Facility
Alert status and Disaster Preparedness Program response as well as
activation of Business Continuity Plans.
- Maintains the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) in a continuous
state of readiness through annual review/evaluation of the EOP
manual, Hazard Vulnerability Analysis, and Inventory of Resources
and Assets.
- Provides leadership to direct reports as they co-chair
Emergency Management Committee, prepare agendas, maintain minutes,
and facilitate guest speakers as well as routinely communicates
emergency management preparedness measures to committee members.
-POSITION SUMMARY
- Required: At least 5-years' experience in Emergency Management
/ Disaster Preparedness experience.EDUCATION
- Required: Four Year bachelor's degree or equivalent
experienceLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Required: Certified Healthcare Emergency with 2 years'
experience
- Required: HazMat Operations or Technical level certification
within 1 year of hire
- Required: OSHA Instructor or Train the Trainer Certification
