join Alcon. As a Global Product Director - IOL Delivery Systems
supporting Global Surgical Franchise-IOL Team, in Fort Worth,
typical day will include:
- Provide cross-functional leadership to successfully drive
product development, indications/claims, and marketing strategies
to drive IOL Delivery System adoption and conversion.
- Develop and implement global marketing strategies and tactics
for IOL Delivery Systems portfolio, in partnership with North
America and International Marketing teams.
- Represent IOL Delivery Systems cross-functional team during key
governance meetings, steering committees and any other additional
business forums that provide updates/progress on commercial
initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with North America/International,
R&D, MTO to prioritize investment decisions that increase the
value of the IOL Delivery System portfolio.
- Provide R&D with solid, evidence-based information and
recommendations to ensure that new products, indications, and
claims fill significant and profitable commercial needs. Directly
responsible for generating with R&D the market requirement
specifications for each new product.
- Partner with R&D and other key stakeholders to properly
manage IOL Delivery System projects through the Alcon Stage-Gate
process.
- Partner with North America and International commercial
leadership, MTO and S&OP to ensure forecast accuracy, capacity
planning, and executable launch cadence strategies to ensure
maximization of value extraction balanced with optimized customer
experience.
- Partner with Business Development & Licensing to evaluate
external opportunities that increase the overall value of the IOL
Delivery System portfolio.
- Develop Commercial Launch Readiness (CLR) guidance for IOL
Delivery Systems new product launches in collaboration with North
America and International marketing teams that enable effective and
impactful global product launches.
- Establish global pricing guidelines, in collaborations with
Global Pricing, North America and International Marketing teams to
mitigate price erosion and elevate value proposition of IOL
Delivery Systems.
- Effectively manage IOL Delivery System
discretionary/promotional and T&E budgets.WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO
ALCON:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related
experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs;
PhD+6 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate
in English
- 10 Years of Relevant Experience
- 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
- Work hours: 40 hours
- Travel: 10-15%
- Relocation: No

- Experience working in Ophthalmology-related pharmaceutical or
medical device field.
- Experience in launching and/or promoting products across
multiple markets, geographies.
- Experience managing and leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with R&D to develop/introduce strategic
additions to a product portfolio.
- General familiarity with healthcare reimbursement landscape, US
and OUS, ideally
- Strong collaboration, and organizational skills with proven
ability to successfully manage numerous, simultaneous activities
and meet deadlines
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills
- Strong operational and/or business planning mindset
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to operate
effectively in a global environment
- Ability to influence and communicate across functions
- Excellent written and oral communication
